With a brand identity that was not clearly represented in the U.S. market EMMA WORLDWIDE goal is to bring China Southern Airlines’ authentic brand identity to the forefront and increase brand exposure. Our plan? Develop several marketing and public relations strategies to bring attention and gain exposure. Our team executed a strategic and unique partnership with New York State’s tourism company, I Love New York and Governor Cuomo’s office to promote tourism to New York State. In addition, EMMA WORLDWIDE implemented a nontraditional media buying campaign at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). Our Team designed and promoted a pole-wrap advertisement series throughout JFK’s terminals. Along with the pole-wrap our campaign covered Manhattan & San Francisco Double Decker Buses, Manhattan Midtown express buses & taxis.

CHINA SOUTHERN AIRLINES - Augmented Reality (AR) Activity

We created an Augmented Reality Activity where visitors would prepare an airplane design. Once complete, our operator positioned the design under a special camera which scanned it and projected their drawing onto a live airplane animation showing their design flying across the world! Once the plane landed, a second camera would combine the live image of the visitor and a still from our animation for a branded photo opportunity.

With the intent to bring more brand awareness to our audience we created a custom game for China Southern Airlines. Using a full touch screen users were able to spin a digital wheel with the swipe of a finger. The wheel landed on a question that either asked about China or the Airline. If answered correctly the game cheered and sent you on your way to win a prize! Concept, Design and Development was all done by EMMA WORLDWIDE
